You Were Made for This Moment centers on the story of Esther and her uncle Mordecai in Persia. during the reign of King Xerxes. The Book of Esther in the Old Testament recounts the difficulties they faced from terrifying circumstances and no hope from the promised genocide of all Jewish people therein with no apparent way out.  Esther’s story leads us to remember other stories recounted in Scripture where everything seemed bleak and doom loomed just over the horizon, as close as tomorrow and unalterable. Focusing upon Esther’s story helps us recognize God’s work as Peripety!

The question for each of us is this: How do we respond when we encounter dire circumstances? Where do we turn when our world and our lives seem to be falling apart and there is nothing we can do? Are we facing just such circumstances right now?

Let’s join together in the heat of summer for the calming assurance of the Spirit revealed in Esther’s story. After all, you and I were made for this moment1 Let’s discover our purpose together with the grace of God! Summer is a great time to gather and share and learn more about God’s Word, especially when we can learn more from Max Lucado! You are invited to join us in the Chapel at 10:30 AM for five weeks beginning on Monday, July18 and ending on August 15, 2022 for a new study. These sessions will allow us to join together in person or on ZOOM. Study books are available in the office for ten dollars each.
