You Are Never Alone, a Bible study of the miracle stories in the Gospel According to John the Apostle WEEK THREE
In our first week of this Lenten Study, we learned that our prayers always are heard and in time, a response will come. Moreover, we learned that Jesus’ understands what is best for us long before our prayer has been received, and the response to prayer is based on his understanding of the plan God has for our life. Mary, his mother, knew that Jesus’ judgement was best, and she also knew that his heart could be swayed even as regards every day, ordinary events and needs to go off script and change his own plans for the good of others, Jesus was a flexible, caring problem-solver who served others so that they might learn to serve God by serving their fellow beings. In our second week, we learned that Jesus could heal a boy 18 miles away based on the faith of his father who asked for Jesus’ miraculous healing. And we learned that when we are stuck in life and getting comfortable in our “stuck-ness” using it as an excuse not to move forward, Jesus will answer our prayers for healing by calling out to us to get up, take action and move forward! Join us as we learn about Jesus’ words to us in the Storms of Life! Life is not easy, and we have many kinds of storms to deal with as our life journey unfolds!
