UMW 2021-2022 READING PROGRAM

Books_019

It”s the New Year and the beginning of a new UMW Reading Program. This is the first time the program will span two years instead of one.

For a better explanation of the Reading Program, Andris Salter, the Operations Officer of United Methodist Women writes in the November/December RESPONSE magazine: “The purpose of the Reading Program is to better understand and participate in God’s mission today, to increase sensitivity to all human beings, to explore contemporary issues and to enhance and act on self-knowledge.  Even when we’re apart, we’re together—and still working to deepen our understanding of the intersections of race, class, sex, religion and gender through books and discussion.”

The new books are on the UMW shelves and the new Reporting Forms to keep track of the books you have read are in the binder on the shelf with the books. All the books on the UMW shelves count for the 2021-2022 program.

I hope you will participate this year and enjoy this year’s selections.  Enjoy.
