The Chosen Bible Study Class
Hi, Everyone! Please save time to be with our new Bible study class on October 18, 2021 at 1:30 PM. For nine weeks, we will be studying and sharing our reactions to Episodes of Season One of The Chosen, a television drama based on the life of Jesus of Nazareth.
It was created, directed and co-written by American filmmaker Dallas Jenkins. It is the first multi-season series about the life of Jesus, and has been the highest crowd-funded TV series or film project of all time.
The creators state that they had hopes to distinguish the new series from previous portrayals of Jesus by creating a multi-season, episode-base story. The series portrays Jesus “through the eyes of those who met him.”
In addition to VidAngel and its own app, the series airs on several streaming services. Our study here at Lakeview will incorporate material from the study book created as a companion guide. This book is not required for the class.
