
Happy New Year!
I hope your Christmas celebrations were filled with joy! I enjoyed the great concerts and music we were blessed with this year at LUMC and wasn’t the Choir Cantata wonderful!
We are entering this New Year with anticipation for what God will do through all of us at Lakeview. I am excited that we have some new learning opportunities coming in this first quarter of the year.
Here are some opportunities:
- Sunday, 10:30 a.m. in the Conference Room; Sermon Afterglow.
- Led by Eli Reeves. Go deeper into the sermon and the text, hear from others what they think. This is an ongoing study, come any time.
- Monday, 10:00 a.m. in Smoot Hall; New study – Unshakable Hope.
- Led by Rhonda Plenski. This is a study by Max Lucado.Â
- Monday, 1:30 p.m. in the Conference Room; Continuing study – Disciple II.
- Watch for new opportunities to begin Disciple.
- Tuesday, 10:00 a.m. in Fellowship Hall; New study – Goliath Must Fall.
- Led by Pastor John begins January 8. We all have giants in our lives. Learn how to win the battle against your giants. This is a video/book study by Pastor Louie Giglio.
- Wednesday, 10:00 a.m. in the Conference Room; On-going Bible Study
- Thursday, 12:30 in the Conference Room; New study – Christianity and World Religions.
- Led by Betty Stewart begins January 17. This is an Adam Hamilton video/book study. Discover what we have in common with other major religions and in the process, learn more about your own faith.

- Led by Lydia Woods. This is an on-going study.
- Saturday, 9:30 a.m. at The Woodmark;
- on-going study in the conference room led by Lydia Woods.
If you are not in some on-going study of the Bible, I encourage you to join one of these, start your own, or find another group to start one.
