PALS-logo

January 7, 2019

Present: Barbara Littlejohn, Jerry & Marva Fife, Kathe Wilson, Jan & Brian Baker, Maggie Atterbury, Susan Briner, Judy Bell, Eileen Pike, Ross Parrott, and Linda De Atley.

Discussion: The meeting centered around getting the word out about services the network of PALS provides and attracting new volunteers to help out on short-term assignments.

Suggestions included: Skits (live and videotaped for services & TNT), Personal Witness from volunteers and recipients of services (separately and jointly), Print material (Marva has developed a number of logos from which one was favored and selected, Featured articles on our Website, Newsletters, Bulletin Notices, Sermons, Skits, and Giving Tree from which members of LUMC can post that they are interested in serving in specific areas by writing down the service they are willing to provide, their name and their phone number on a slip of paper with the PALS logo on it and spaces to fill in with the information needed.

Recruitment involves each person telling their story and passing the joy of serving God by serving others on – “Pass It On!” It was further noted that we need to document what we do point by point. Serving others will not be a burden when we work together, because many hands make easy tasks.
