HAPPY FATHER’S DAY to all you men out there. It doesn’t matter what you’re called; Father, Daddy, Papa, or Scout Leader, Teacher, Pastor, Mentor, Neighbor, or Good friend. If you touched a child’s life in some way, and you all have, you are entitled to celebrate.
We at the library would like to invite all of you gentlemen to celebrate with us. It’s getting hot out there now, so after you have played your round of golf, done chores, played tennis, etc. in the afternoon, sit back and pick up a good book.
In the History and Biography Section of our library, you will find:
Team of Rivals: The political genius of Abraham Lincoln by Doris Kearns Goodwin
It’s about the political genius of Abraham Lincoln. Where did he get his ideas? Who influenced him? Did he doubt himself? All of his decisions influenced the way we live in this country today.
Steve Jobs by Walter Isaacson
Where did this man come from? How did he become the genius behind “Apple”? Do you have an I-Phone or I-Pad? Find out about the man behind it all.
The Master of Disguise: My Secret Life in the CIA by Malcolm McConnell
Want some excitement? The author says “It taught me about what is worth fighting for.”
There are many other books to investigate. We have several versions of the Bible that you can actually check out. You can compare one to the other, and find out which one suits your taste best.
Surprise! We have CD’s too. So come and visit us. The library is nice and cool. We have a few chairs to relax in. Come and visit. When you see a book you like, just take the card out, the one right behind the cover, and write your name and phone number on it, and then put the card in the little box on the desk. Hope you come and visit us soon. So pick up a book, put your feet up and read. Happy Father’s Day to all of you gentlemen.
