Brunch at Bittersweet Café by Carla Lawreano (it is a supper club novel).
It starts out with Melody Johanson working in a bakery making bread from 10 pm to 4:30 am for very little money. One wintery night in Denver, Justin Keller is stranded outside of where Melody is working by herself. This is the beginning of her relationship with Justin.
Her grandmother Bev died and left Melody her house and her grandfather’s antique AMC Hornet. Her mother Janna received what was inside the house. Justin Keller, an aviation pilot went with her. He discovered that the Hornet was worth a lot of money, because it was a rare model of the Hornet. He restored it and a collector offered a lot of money to get ahold of it.
She had always wanted to open up a restaurant. She talked to her friends Rachel and Ana to see if they would join her in the venture. It took awhile until they found a café owner who had to close to return to Greece to take care of her mother. Rachel and Melody took out a new lease and licenses in order to get it running.
You will have to read this book to the end. It is a fast and interesting read!
