We have two new books in here that our readers would like to read.
Eleanor, A Spiritual Biography by Harold Ivan Smith (UMW)
In this book you will discover her life from when she was a child until her death in 1962. It starts out with her grandmothers’ idea that she was ugly compared to the other Roosevelt ladies. They made her go to an Episcopal Church, plus take classes with the two grandmothers.
You should read this book to the end. You will be amazed with all the things she achieved in her lifetime!
The Hope Jar by Wanda E. Brunstetter
This is a story how an Englisher, (which is the Amish word for the world outside), who was mistaken by an elderly Amish couple as their long lost granddaughter. She goes with them using the name Sarah Murray. She falls in love with the Amish couple, Willis and Mary Ruth Lapp. Then when going to the mailbox she finds a letter from the real Sarah Murray! This adds up to more lies that she doesn’t know how to get out of. You will have to read the book to see how it ends.
