Isaiah 43:1-3a, Luke 3:15-16, 21-22
When we go “through the waters” of real life it’s good to know the wonder water of baptism binds us to the family of God.
God never promises that life will be smooth sailing if we just obey him and follow Jesus. We live in a fallen world so life here is difficult, full of hardships, and challenges – the “waters” Isaiah wrote that we would have to go through. God promises to be with us throughout any struggle. Baptism is our key into the family of God but it is also a reminder that God is with us no matter what happens.
