Zephania 3:145-20 – The Message

Fear is a reality for us but it need not control us. In Christ our fears can be replaced with his joy.

In the wonderful carol from Phillips Brooks, “O Little Town of Bethlehem” the phrase, “Yet in thy dark streets shineth the everlasting light; the hopes and fears of all the years are met in thee tonight.” The Prophet Zephaniah tells us that we have a God who, despite our disobedience, loves us and seeks to dispel our fears with his grace and so we need never fear again. In the words of a 17-year-old with terminal cancer, “God’s got this.”
