Today’s Scripture – Acts 10:34-36, 39-43
The day Jesus was crucified is powerful, this end of the Passion Week, but it is that morning, three days later, which changed the world. That was the moment when God proved his love, proved that he, and he alone, can overcome death – and forgive our sins.
Peter’s powerful sermon delivered as a testimony to the will of God that all might know his saving grace. It is a call to all people, an invitation to the heavenly banquet for all who would just call on the name above every name, Jesus. There is no isolation with God, he is present, willing and able, no matter the sin, no matter how far away you think you are, he is as close as your quietest whisper of need.
