Galatians 5:1, 13-15
Are you truly passionate about your faith? Does the fruit of your faith show your passion?
Galatians tells us there is always a good result from the presence of God in our lives and our response to that presence. Paul uses the image of the “fruit of the Spirit” including; love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. Well, it sounds good, but what if we considered these the “kisses of the Holy Spirit”? Might we take them more seriously? John Stott once wrote that “the mere recital of these Christian graces should be enough to make the mouth water and the heart beat faster. For this is a portrait of Jesus Christ.” Truly, if we take it seriously, these are definitely “passion fruit” for your spirit.
