“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.”

November 3, 2018 – Weekly Lakeviewer

This Weeks scripture

Ruth 1:16-18

New International Version (NIV)

Naomi and Ruth 16 But Ruth replied, “Don’t urge me to leave you or to turn back from you. Where you go I will go, and where you stay I will stay. Your people will be my people and your God my God. 17 Where you die I will die, and there I will be buried. May the LORD deal with me, be it ever so severely, if even death separates you and me.” 18 When Naomi realized that Ruth was determined to go with her, she stopped urging her.

JUSTA Center
Caring_003Warm Jackets, Rolling Luggage & Backpacks needed at JUSTA Center JUSTA Center, the day center for senior citizens needs our help. The homeless men and women there need warm jackets, now that the weather is getting cool in the evenings and they sleep on the streets. They also could use some of your old luggage – rolling style luggage and backpacks. This type of luggage, are things that the homeless can easily take with them. Remember they take all that they own with them on their backs or following behind them in a pull type piece of luggage. If you have these items, please bring them to the church office and we will get them from there to JUSTA Center. Thanks so much.
It’s Turkey time

We will be accepting your gifts of turkeys, turkey breasts, large chickens or monetary donations from October 28 until November 18. If you wish to make a monetary donation, you may use the Green Mission Envelope in the pew and designate “Turkey” on the envelope or your check. Please make your checks out to Lakeview UMC. Your gifts will once again let our neighbors know Lakeview Church cares. Thanks! The Valley View Food Bank will pick up our donations on Monday, November 19.
