Today’s scripture: Ephesians 1:11-23
The true inheritance we have from God in both eternal life (participating in the great plan & work of God); inheritance of knowing God’s power is at work, helping us & the world. We also have an inheritance in the lives and examples of our saints of our church. We have lost much through the pandemic this last year. We remember, we grieve and we live with hope. What will you do with your inheritance?
True inheritance we have from God which is both eternal life and participating in the great plan and work of God. It is the inheritance of knowing God’s power is at work, helping us & the world.
Saints in New Testament are simply believers, like us. We recognize today how much we’ve lost in past 2 years of Covid-we own up to how our hearts are hurting, sometimes raw & empty with loss and fear.
We face and feel our grief and loss together, how much we miss those we’ve lost and also receive and embrace the hope of resurrection, the great inheritance of faith God offers.
Rejoice. Claim the inheritance, spend it well. What will you do with your inheritance? Will you live as if God is up to something? Working? Making the right things happen for us? We remember & recognize our saints were people who did the same and learned to trust God and receive this inheritance.
