  • What did you do before coming to Lakeview?

    I was the Associate Pastor of St. Mark’s UMC in Tucson.

  • What's your favorite thing about being at Lakeview?

    The genuine warmth of the people!

  • What's your favorite bible verse/passage of scripture?

    Philippians 4:13 “I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me.”

  • What are some of your favorite hobbies?

    I play enjoy playing Dungeons and Dragons, hiking, and caving when I can.

  • Who are some of your favorite authors/books?

    I come from a family where there was a firm belief that it is not hoarding if it is books so what I am writing right is very abbreviated. Some of my favorite books/series of book of all time include the “Dune” series by Frank Herbert, “The Lord of the Rings” by J.R.R. Tolkien, and “The Kingkiller Chronicles” by Patrick Rothfuss

  • What's your favorite type of music?

    I enjoy listening to more upbeat rock music.

  • What are some of your favorite movies?

    The singular best film ever made is “The Empire Strikes Back” but there is a world of wonderful film out there. I tend to drift into the sci-fi/fantasy genres of film. Peter Jackson’s Lord of the Rings Trilogy, Dark City, Labyrinth all rank pretty high on my list of favorites.

  • What's your favorite type of food?

    Ethiopian food is proof that God loves each of us. If you don’t know this to be a fact you clearly haven’t tried Ethiopian food.

  • What's your favorite sport/team?

    I have always enjoyed baseball and basketball. I tend to follow the Detroit Tigers and the Arizona Diamondbacks in baseball. I won’t say who I follow basketball wise because I live in Phoenix and am from Tucson, hahahaha.

  • What's your favorite place to go in Phoenix?

    This is a good question without a good answer. I suspect for a while I will be taking lots of recommendations.

  • What's your favorite holiday?

    When it comes to life around the church my favorite is easily Easter. In terms of sheer fun it is easily Halloween.

  • What's an ideal day off look like to you?

    Sleeping in a little late with neither of the animals trying to wake us up. Beyond this as long as I get to spend quality time with close friends or family I am very pleased.

  • What's your favorite vacation spot?

    Places with lots of land and not many people.
