
Welcome to the Lakeview Concert Series, We are excited to offer you a wide variety of musical experiences for your listening pleasure.
Most of our events are paired with a dinner in Smoot Hall before the performance. Dinner reservations must be made in the church office or online by 4 pm on Tuesday. Cost is $7, payable at the door. Doors of Smoot Hall open for dinner at 5:00 PM
Concerts begin at 6:30 pm in the Worship Center and last one hour with no intermission. Tickets are not required for our concerts, but we ask for a free-will offering at all evening events. Doors open at 6:00 pm

HarpSynergy

HarpSynergy is a group of enthusiastic harpists who love to share the joy of music with each other and audiences all over Arizona. Performing a mixture of classical and popular selections, their arrangements redefine the capabilities of traveling harp ensemble. Ranging in age from 7 to 75 and hailing from Tucson, Florence, Quartzsite, Mesa, Phoenix, Paradise Valley, and Tenessee, these students play alongside their teacher Dr. Heidi to gain important ensemble skills and experience the synergy of collaborative music making in the most positive environment of the studio. If you love harp music, imagine the sound of more than a dozen harps playing together…!

Dan began studying trumpet at age nine. He graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Music Performance. After playing for two years with Carnival Cruise Lines, he joined Princes Cruises, where he stayed for 18 years and served as musical director for Princess Cruise Lines. Dan moved to Arizona in January 2011 and has been very busy playing as the featured musician in many bands. He has also formed his own groups playing a variety of styles of music including Dixieland, jazz, Broadway tunes and Latin music.
At the age of 7, Nicole began playing piano; by age 10, over 500 songs were
committed to memory, and she won First place in the Discovery National
Television Competition. at 12, she appeared on the Jerry Lewis MDA Telethon
which aired to over sixty million viewers; followed by an extensive US tour.
During a year-long residency in Las Vegas, Nicole performed for Debbie Reynolds on stage at Debbie’s hotel and Casino. Numerous performances followed for Rich Little, Buddy Greco, Pat Boone, Lew King and Barbara Stanwyck.
Renee has connected with individuals and crowds with her voice and
music over the past decade in the Valley. Her music is shockingly
honest and emotionally charged. Listeners find Renee’s sound
somehow familiar, but one that is refreshingly original and inviting.
Singing a variety of genres from Jazz Standards, to classic R&B,
Renee’s music will capture you with her powerful voice combined with a
passionate delivery.
Desert Winds Steel Orchestra

Known in the United States as steel drums, these remarkable rhythmic and melodic percussion instruments, known simply as “pan” in their homeland of Trinidad & Tobago, found their way into the music classroom of Jerry Lopatin, the general music teacher at Desert Winds Elementary in Phoenix, Arizona.
What started as an 8-member band back in the fall of 1997, the DESERT WINDS STEEL ORCHESTRA has grown to 15+ members who have discovered the joy of making music in an ensemble setting. Their repertoire includes Latin and pop songs and an array of island tunes that will create an atmosphere of pure joy regardless of the setting in which they are playing.

Enjoy the sounds of Forever Young Big Band as they bring you the best in jazz and swing standards. They are a rare assembly of outstanding talent with a lifetime of excellence including advanced degrees, recording experience, and headlining in Las Vegas, among others.
Mike & Phil have been performing together for over 20 years and really love to have fun engaging the crowd. Always a crowd favorite, the vocalists and instrumentalists will be sure to have your toes tapping.
