Lunches for Habitat for Humanity Winter 2019
There are builds going on in the West Valley and our help is needed in taking hot lunch to the workers.
We have two times set up for this winter. Saturday, January 12th and Saturday, February 9th. We will be taking COSTCO or Sam’s Lasagna – HOT – and garlic bread, we’ll need to make up an easy salad, and dessert is cookies. We’ll take cold soda pop and water.
It is a simple and nourishing meal for people working hard to build a home for someone who doesn’t have a home to call their own.
If you would like to work one of these two days or both just drop Betty Stewart an email at bettyboop491@cox.net.

Lakeview Emmaus Gathering
Have you been to an Emmaus retreat weekend? How about Cursillo, Tres Dias? Curious about the Emmaus retreat?
Wondering “What is Emmaus?” Come on Friday, Jan. 18 at 10:30 in Smoot
Hall for a church-wide gathering. Bring your banners and let’s show ‘em off.
The Walk to Emmaus is a transformational and ecumenical, three-day retreat offered several times a year in different places around Arizona. The central focus is faith renewal centered on God’s amazing grace and inspiration to encourage Christian action in all areas of our life. It’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience which will richly bless your life.
We’ll be celebrating, sharing in a witness or two and sharing Holy Communion – all are welcome, Emmaus is open to all. We’ll also be considering holding a “Face to Face” program later in 2019. It is a similar program, but geared to seniors and is not overnight.
No sign up is necessary, just show up and join us.
