Welcome to Lakeview
All of us are glad you are here today and we look forward to getting to know you and sharing our ministries with you. If you are looking for community and a place to grow in faith, we invite you to explore Lakeview UMC and discover where your interests might meet with our ministries.
Our church is alive and vibrant:
Helping us to know and grow in God’s grace;
Offering a place to meet others, find joy & friendship, and care for spiritual & emotional needs; and
Providing a place to serve God and the needs of the community.
When on campus stop by our Welcome Wagon where we will be glad to talk with you, answer your questions and help you find a place at Lakeview.
Ministries
Worship happens on Sunday mornings at 8 am in our Chapel, a more intimate and lively setting with a hymn sing, a chance to share prayer concerns and enjoy an inspiring message.
We also worship at 9:30 am in our Sanctuary with liturgy, our choir and music ensembles. Communion is served at each service and everyone is welcome to participate, whether you are a member or not.
Worship is our time to meet and know God together. Come and join us in-person or online!
Men’s and Women’s Ministries happen each month through our United Methodist Women’s group with times for study, devotions and a missions focus. United Methodist Men meet for breakfast the first Saturday of the month for great food, conversation and missions work.
Caring Ministries are a vital part of our church to provide emotional and spiritual support for life’s challenging moments.
We have Stephen Ministry (a one-on-one ministry to help in times of change or stress), a telephone calling ministry for those who would like to receive weekly phone check-ins, and pastoral counseling,
GriefShare is for those going through the journey of loss. We are a supportive community for all who are aging and for those in trying times.

Missions and Service is at the heart of United Methodism and the Lakeview Church. We believe in giving back to the community by helping those who are struggling. We show our love to God by serving our neighbors. We are
active in supporting Valley View Food Bank, Justa Center (for homeless senior citizens), Habitat for Humanity, Heifer Project and other agencies.
Classes & Groups for Growing in Faith are available throughout the week both on Campus and online. We believe community is important and we all want a place to belong.
We offer Bible studies, classes on personal growth, drumming, prayer and more.
Our small groups are a way to care for your own soul and find the joy of sharing the spiritual journey with others.
