Heifer International
The “Buzz” is over, even though I can still hear it. Lakeview and Friends donated 44 Gifts of Honey Bees. Now we need to direct our prayers to the recipients of these honey bees, that they may produce product for their new owners. Product and profits so they may feed their families, educate their children and live a new life out of hunger and poverty. May God richly bless them all.
Now, the new program,
“Gift Ark”,
which will bring training and animals to 28 families, once it reaches its destination(s).
But first we need to load it. 2 x 2, as Noah did, with the following: Heifers, Oxen, Water Buffalo, Llamas, Goats, Pigs, Sheep, Flocks of Chicks and Geese, Trios of Rabbits and Ducks and Guinea Pigs, Honeybees and Schools of Fish. Also included in our ark will be training for a Community Animal Vet. The cost of the Gift Ark is $5,000.
Through the first week 26.77% of that total has been donated. Visit the display in Smoot Hall. Banks and donation envelopes are also available in the Chapel and Worship Center.
Let’s get this Ark sailing.
