This is Pastor Stuart and I am writing to you to let you know of my excitement in coming to Lakeview to serve as your Associate Pastor and to share a little
about myself. I see my new appointment as a new adventure in ministry in which we will be able to grow in Christ together.
Having spent some time talking to Pastor Dave, Pastor Ross, Pastor Linda, and the staff of the church I know that moving into the Lakeview community will be wonderful. I love the ministries of the church that are doing the work of Christ in the world. I am excited to see where two of Lakeview’s strengths, caring ministries and technology ministries, have a bright future of interconnection in making disciples of Jesus Christ. Much of my current ministry in Tucson is focused in these two areas.
I have long standing roots in this region and the Tucson area in particular. The first person in my family of European descent to arrive here was a Catholic Priest while Arizona was still a part of the Viceroy of New Spain. My family in some capacity has been helping to share/spread God’s love here ever since. I am thrilled to be one of God’s servants helping to share the Good News in Arizona.
I will be moving to the area very soon with my wife Alicia, our dog Ginger, and our cat Miau. As I write this we have just leased a home close to the church. She and I will be married for 2 years on June 5th. My wife primarily works from home for a biomedical company on the tech side of things. I am a little biased but I think that it is safe to say that she is an amazing, compassionate, brilliant person, all truths that I do my best to remind her of constantly. In moving up to serve Lakeview we will also be close to my sister, brother-in-law, and nephew as well as two of Alicia’s aunts. I am looking forward to spending more time with all of them. I tend to live life a little bit on the dorkier side of life. In my spare time I enjoy reading a fair amount of fantasy and sci-fi, painting miniatures, and playing in D&D games.
Also a very big “Thank You” for the reception that Alicia and I have already been experiencing even though we are not there yet. We have been receiving a number of cards welcoming us to Lakeview. I look forward to meeting everyone!
