Director of Music Ministry

Lakeview United Methodist Church in Sun City is searching for a part-time Director of Music Ministry. The position has overall responsibility for orchestrating the musical portion of our worship, focusing on our 9:30 traditional service. We are a welcoming and growing church. The Director of Music Ministry will work collaboratively with the church Organist/Pianist and those presenting special music during worship. The preferred candidate for this position will possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Music, together with experience in organizing, leading and directing a church choir, choral group or music program of comparable size, in a variety of worship service settings. The Director will work to build the music program, recruiting new members and talent.

The Director of Music Ministry will be responsible for the planning of all music programs to include, but not limited to all Sunday morning worship services, special church services during Lent/Easter, Advent/Christmas and other special services scheduled by the clergy of the church.

The Director will be responsible for conducting and leading our handbell choir. The Director will also organize and oversee a monthly concert series featuring guests artists from around the Valley. This position will report to the Senior Pastor
