Do You Have a Will?

Will

Remember Lakeview in Your Estate and Wills

I know when my wife, Ruth Ellen, passed away in December, 2018, I realized about a year later, after I settled her estate, that I needed to change my Will to reflect not only her passing but that there were some charities that I also wanted to remember in my Will when I passed to the Lord.

wills-and-estateI also know that some people relook at their Will every New Year to make sure that it is up to date. I would like everyone to take a moment to reread their Will and if       possible leave some amount to Lakeview United Methodist Church.

If you have been reading my monthly Finance Reports, I have often mentioned about using your Wills to convey some financial amount to Lakeview UMC. I want to remind you that in the year 2020 our church has lost important members who we have loved for a long time and while I really miss these people (especially since we were not allowed to say goodbye) many of them left an amount of money in their Will to Lakeview and these amounts have helped Lakeview to pay the salaries and other expenses that are still happening whether the church’s doors are open or not.

So please consider and pray about leaving some financial amount to Lakeview United Methodist Church in your Will.

Thank you for your consideration.
