“Autumn shows us how beautiful it is to let things go.”

Caring in Spite of Corona

FromThe Desk Pastor Ross

The Corona Virus deters us from being together physically, but that hasn’t stopped our Caring-101church members from helping each other. Several of our ladies  made protective masks on their sewing machines for the church staff and for the single moms at UMOM in downtown Phoenix.  The virus hasn’t stopped members from picking up and delivering needed groceries to friends and neighbors who cannot leave their homes.  Our members are reaching out to check on each other by phone and internet.  We are a church family who reaches out to connect and care for each other.  We live out the great commandment!

Praying91519Jesus told us to love God with all our hearts, minds, soul, and strength, and to love our neighbor as ourselves. There are dozens of ways that we can encourage and assist each other during this crisis. God is still in control, but He has given us free will to make choices as to how we spend our time and resources.  Needs continue to arise as the pandemic goes on and we continue to respond to needs as they come to us.  Call the church if you know of someone in need.

Pray for each other and for the names on the prayer chain. Pray for those who have lost Prayer_004loved ones recently and for those who are ill.  Pray without ceasing and pray intensely for our families, our church, our community and our world.  Pray that this virus will subside and that it will cause many in our land to seek Jesus as their personal Savior and Lord. Dig deep into your faith and continue to look for ways that you can help someone else. We will experience victory if we remain strong in our faith and in caring for each other!  We will overcome with the presence and power of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Do not despair!

Reach out to the church if you need help, and let us know if you are willing to help another person without exposing yourself to the virus. God is on His throne, Jesus is in our hearts, and we will be victorious!

Gratefully yours, Pastor Ross
