First UMC Mission At First United Methodist Church we believe: GOD'S LOVE HEALS!
What a joy there is in being part of the family of God. We are a
family of diverse backgrounds and traditions, yet there are core values
that unite us in heart and mind and spirit. These core values
extend from our theme: God's Love Heals... ...With Prayer. We believe that God cares about us, which allows us to come before God with boldness and faith. ...With Caring, understanding and helping. We believe we are called to care about others, to understand their spiritual, emotional and physical needs and to create ministires in response to those needs. ...When people matter. We believe that hurting people matter to God and therefore, matter to the church. No one is ever beyond the reach of God's love, through the church. ...Through Selfless Service. We believe that the body of Christ is called to serve others, sacrificing our own personal desires to offer respect, nurture and service to tothers. ...Through Heartfelt example. We believe it is the joy of every follower of Jeasus Chrrist to demonstrate love in our attitudes, our words, and our actions. God's Love Heals broken lives. We believe that the most lost and most broken people can be restored by God's grace!
